What is Cherry Network?

Cherry is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization developing a layer 1 blockchain network optimized for data operations. Cherry serves as a specific infrastructure for decentralized applications that process data. Built on Substrate, it implements modern cryptographic standards to provide layer 2 scalability (zkSNARKs) and has node-level IPFS integration that allows the Cherry Virtual Machine to interface natively with the storage and indexed queryable data references.

This new root-to-IPFS connection mechanism allows smart contracts to interact with the updated state of data at runtime. These advanced features are made available in the core and are accessible on other blockchains through Cherry’s interoperability channels. Decentralized applications built on Cherry or many of the most famous decentralized networks can now leverage Cherry’s features to enhance their dApps.
